- Where do I submit my work?

For National (professional) submissions : CLICK HERE. - May I submit more than one production?
- Yes! You may submit up to three productions online and are urged to include all elements of design including sound.
- What materials will be accepted into the exhibition?
- If accepted, actual models, costumes, photographs, props, paintings and drawings,videos and sound recordings. For initial curation, submissions are to be digital online submissions only.
- In what format should I submit Audio work?
- Either:
Create a two-track, stereo, 44.1kHz, 16 bit, .wav or .aiff mix down that represents a portion of the sound design of the play in a manner that is similar to the way that an audience member would have experienced it. (Selections should be less than five minutes in length)
Select up to 6 visual images from the same moment(s) in the play that will provide a visual context for the sound design.
Or:
Create a video montage of no more than 5 minutes in length with a two-track, stereo, 44.1kHz, 16 bit audio track and either stills or video from the production that provide a visual context for the sound design. If you create your own video you can include as many visual images as you wish in the timeline of the audio track. - How about video submissions?
- Final video submission spec should be minimum SD (720x780px) and maxium 1080p (1920x1080px or 1920x1200px). Footage is preferred submitted as DV or HDV codec with 90% or better quality setting. Animation is preferred submitted as QuickTime PhotoJPEG, High Quality Settings. Audio tracks should be minimum 128kbps.
For videos longer than 30 seconds, please submit a sample video, max 800x600px QuickTime mp4 H.264 Codec 1000 Mbps max for initial review. If selected for curation, we will then request the final spec as outlined above. - Will my work be insured?
- Yes. USITT will insure your work from the point of possession until it is returned to you. In order for USITT to bind coverage on your exhibit, you will be required to provide an inventory of the items you will be supplying, including a description of the type of work, i.e. photo, drawing, etc. and a value of each item. USITT will insure your total combined two dimensional items up to $500 and each three dimensional item up to $1,000. Individuals with items valued at more that the $500 and $1,000 limits are responsible for securing their own additional insurance coverage above the $500/$1000 limits covered by USITT.
- When can I get my work back?
- After the tour is finished, January 2013.
- Why so long?
- We plan to tour the USA from September 2011 until December 2012.
- How long will the exhibit in Prague last?
- From June 16-26, 2011.
- Who can attend the PQ?
- The exhibit is open to the public and theatre people the world over. Designers, directors, choreographers and companies represented in the exhibit are particularly encouraged to attend.
- What will be going on during the exhibit?
- 55 other countries will exhibit professional designs, training programs and theatre architecture-open to all ; sign up for workshops & productions; see theatre devised in Prague in venues all over the city; meet thousands of other people who are passionate about theatre!
- What is Scenofest?
- Scenofest 2011 will focus on the theme of “Intersection.”
