USITT/USA/PQ 2011 Exhibition
The 2011 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space
The curators of the USITT/USA/PQ 2011 wish to thank the many designers across the USA who enlightened us to the pulse of performance design today through the 360 submissions to the U.S. National Exhibit website. We received designs occurring in every conceivable genre, location, and approach for FROM THE EDGE. From brilliant re-imaginings to designs that forged new territory, you opened our eyes and ears to a range and quality of work that is truly extraordinary. Having been tasked with choosing under 40 productions within a tighter theme than ever before, the jury process was a huge challenge and one that was exceptionally difficult given the high quality of work submitted. Curators reviewed and re-reviewed the submissions many times over and the process, as you all are aware, has taken us a long time.

We are profoundly grateful for the show of interest for this major exhibition of design for performance and hope that you and your colleagues will be able to join us in Prague from June 16-26, 2011 for ten days of international exchange and inspiration. Exhibitions will be housed within the Veletrzni Palace, Prague, Czech Republic.
